Enroll in Paperless Billing with NW Natural and Help Kids Attend Outdoor School

PORTLAND, Ore. — NW Natural (NYSE:NWN) customers have the opportunity to help students experience Outdoor School by enrolling in paperless billing. Current statistics show that only half of sixth grade students participate in the hands-on learning opportunity due to cost barriers.

To thank current paperless billing customers, NW Natural is donating $5,000 to cover a week of Outdoor School for a whole classroom of 6th graders. Plus, the company will donate an additional $5 for every customer who enrolls in paperless billing by August 31.

"We're thrilled to partner with Friends of Outdoor School to offer such a memorable learning experience," said Von Summers, NW Natural community affairs manager. "Our goal is to cover several classrooms' worth of travel, supplies and meals."

Here are three easy steps for participating in NW Natural paperless billing:

1. Sign in to or quickly register for your NW Natural online profile at nwnatural.com.

2. Choose "Go Paperless," then enroll.

3. Start receiving your gas bill online each month, rather than by mail.

By enrolling in paperless billing, NW Natural customers save time and resources, and get the convenience of bill information and energy-use history at their fingertips.

Going paperless for Outdoor School strengthens education. According to Friends of Outdoor School, research shows that Outdoor School builds self-confidence, self-reliance, and strengthens leadership, collaboration and critical-thinking skills.
