Hood River system project

NW Natural will be working on the natural gas system in Hood River to ensure consistent service to our valued customers.

Project Timeline and Route
  • NW Natural and its contractors will begin work in June 2020 and continue through September 2020, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • The project work will be done on a 1.4-mile stretch of several streets in the downtown area from Cascade Avenue southwest to 18th St. and Taylor Ave.
  • In light of COVID-19, NW Natural employees are following CDC's strong recommendation for social distancing, and to wear PPE such as face coverings, glasses/goggles and gloves.
We will make every effort to reduce traffic impact, but do anticipate some delays will occur. Lane closures will usually take place between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flaggers will be present to send traffic through the work zone as quickly as possible.
If a customer’s natural gas service will be interrupted, we will contact them beforehand.
