PORTLAND, Ore. —  NW Natural, a 163-year-old gas utility based in Portland, has named Zach Kravitz as Vice President of Rates and Regulatory. It is the third promotion for Kravitz since joining the company in 2014.

“Zach’s promotion comes at a time of increasing importance of rates and the regulatory process during the low-carbon energy transition, and he has consistently demonstrated the skills, knowledge and temperament to be a great fit for this role,” said NW Natural President and CEO David Anderson. “Zach is highly respected by his colleagues here and by others in the industry.”

Kravitz began at NW Natural as a regulatory attorney after working in private practice. In 2018 he was promoted to Director of Rates and Regulatory at NW Natural. For the past four years he has led the company’s rates and regulatory efforts during a time of increasing complexity for the gas utility and an expansion into the regulated water utility space. In this new role, Kravitz will serve as a company officer.

“I am excited to take this next step in my career with such a great company that truly cares for its customers, employees and community, especially during such an exciting time for our industry.”
