We support communities across the Pacific Northwest.

We live here, just like you. And as the only major locally-based natural gas utility in our service area, we have a responsibility to help the people and communities around us. Learn about some of the most important efforts we're working on.

CEAG

Community & Equity Advisory Group

The Community & Equity Advisory Group (CEAG) is a collaboration between NW Natural and our community-based organization (CBO) partners. The CEAG meets quarterly to discuss and provide direct feedback, recommendations on utility operations and programming. It is intended to seek out and elevate historically underrepresented voices, perspectives and lived experiences to participate in NW Natural’s energy and operational planning.

CEAG charter - operating guidelines

Who is part of the CEAG?

The CEAG is comprised of a group of CBO partners throughout our service area. Current CEAG members include:

  • Constructing Hope
  • Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO)

Participation is by invitation only. Only representatives from member CBOs, NW Natural staff, and a third-party facilitator will be able to participate in CEAG meetings. We seek CBO representation from across our territories in Oregon and Washington, to align with the distinct, unique community needs and policy requirements of each state. Please email us for more information.

  • Through two giving campaigns, along with a 100% company match, our employees and retirees contributed $350,000 to local charities.

Nonprofit Programs of Focus 2026 - 2028

Organizations are selected by a committee of NW Natural employees from across the company. Organizations are invited to participate via an RFP; in selection mission, service area, effectiveness, impact of sustained funding, and volunteer opportunities are taken into consideration. Priority is given to nonprofits serving children and families at risk. Recipients receive enhanced funding for three years from NW Natural shareholders' Corporate Philanthropy Fund, plus in-kind resources and volunteer support from NW Natural employees.
