NW Natural launched Smart Energy in 2007 to give our customers a way to address the carbon emissions from their natural gas use.

As of December 31, 2024:

95,832 business and residential customers participate in Smart Energy.

Over the life of the program:

Carbon offsets funded: 2,048,308 metric tons

Renewable Thermal Certificates funded:15,766
